If you haven’t yet, please read my first blog post of this series.
For this post I styled to TWICE’s LIKEY song.
For this set of outfits, I decided to coordinate the outfits by style instead of color. Of course, I did make sure the colors matched and went well together. However, I focused on mixing the different types of skirts. The two style skirts I used were Skater Skirt and Front Button Down Skirt. Since Likey is more of an upbeat/colorful song with an adorable dance, I tried to implement different colors to capture the colorfulness of the song and also styled the outfits cutely to not only match the song but to match TWICE’s personality.
For this set of outfits, I decided to do more of a monochrome look instead of colorful. I decided to do monochrome in hopes it would bring more focus on the dance and the song itself. Color can be distracting, in good and bad ways, but having the outfits plain and simple would keep the audience focused on the choreography. Of course, I decided to mix some prints so the outfits wouldn’t be too plain, simple or boring. The plaid helps bring in some attraction to the outfits but it also keeps that simple touch to it.
For both outfit sets I tried to style each outfit to match each members personality or “image” and to capture the cuteness TWICE is known for.
